It is said that drinking aged teas is like peering backwards into its history, drinking the aged flavours layer by layer to its younger days. This carefully stored Wenshan Baozhong brews a sweet sour plum in the first steep, which evolves into sweet dry hay. After 4-5 brews, a glimpse of the Baozhong’s former self returns in a medium bodied comparatively buttery brew, but a more mellow fragrance instead of the fresh lively moods of the young Baozhong. A good entry-level aged tea that is easy to appreciate.
