Bai Rui Xiang (白瑞香) means “white winter daphne”. The cultivar is said to originate from Hui Yuan Keng (慧苑坑) in the zhengyan area. This tea is from one of my best friend’s farm in the banyan area. She specializes in growing many of the less common varieties of yancha.
This tea gives a bit of an initial bite, followed by good texture and a sweet finish. Some woodiness. Clear fragrance lingers on the top of the mouth.
