Description

Qing Xin is a wonderful example of lightly roasted and intensely sweet oolong.
The aroma is light and sweet. The first thing that is noticed is an intense honeycomb sweetness, followed by freshly baked poundcake with a gentle note of spice and a tiny touch of distant orchids.
The mouthfeel is smooth, not too thick and not at all dry, but very well rounded, easily filling the mouth. The liquid give out a mellow, slightly toasted, yeasty bread note and then, as it moves further down the mouth, it explodes into honey sweetness. It is airy and light, but the sweetness lingers long after the cup is empty.
In the last steeps the sweetness of sugar cane and honey is still present but no more dominant. The taste takes on more of a roasted note, reminiscent of toasted wheat.
