It is a Chinese legend centuries ago that a tea master found that the most valuable tea was grown on the high mountain cliffs and one could not reach easily. Monkeys were therefore trained to pick these rare tea leaves for the master.
Nowadays, Monkey Picked is referred as the highest quality of Ti Kuan Yin/Tie Guan Yin in Anxi region in Fujian. This tea is in golden yellow color with a mellow floral taste. It is ideal for multiple infusions and you will enjoy the bittersweet aftertaste that lingers in your throat.
