Description

Rarely grown in Taiwan, this Ba Xian(Eight Immortals) cultivar is a fresh twist on the Taiwanese oolong processing style. Mid-oxidized and then roasted, this tea is sweet, creamy and smooth and has few peers in the Taiwanese oolong cultivar. A toasted floral upfront with a creamy mid mouth and sweet aftertaste, this tea is different from the usual Taiwanese oolong. How do you think it compares to the Chinese versions of this tea? We would love to hear what you think!

This tea is grown on an organic, multigenerational farm in the Mingjian area. the family is unique in that they cultivate hard-to-grow, Chinese tea cultivars. We are happy to support them and look forward to offering more ‘tea culture hybrids’, namely Chinese Cultivars produced in the Taiwanese way. Our 2008 Aged Rougui Red Oolong is another great example of these types of teas from this garden!
