Probably the most classic milk oolong we have ever had on the site, this one is rich, full and buttery. There is even a hint of vanilla sweetness if you brew it just right! Grown in the newer growing region just below the famous Jade Mountain, the tea trees and producers in this region are really coming into their own. We are very happy to have more teas from this region on the site.
The ‘milk’ in the name Milk Oolong is a poorly translation of the Chinese term ‘nai xiang’. A better translation would be ‘the positive aspects of milk fat’, although that doesn’t have the same marketing pizzaz. This tea is a great example of ‘nai xiang’. Thick buttery mouthfeel, sweet vegetal and just the hint of vanilla in the aftertaste, this is a great affordable tea for anyone who wants to try an authentic Jinxuan cultivar Milk Oolong.
We bought some of the Spring version of this tea and can’t wait to get our hands on the wintertime version of this tea to taste the differences a season makes!
