Yunnan Province is home of some of the finest Black teas in the world (actually some of the finest of many types of tea). It is the spiritual mother province of tea and is one of our favourite partsof the world for tea hunting.

This tea is a great introduction to one of the more bold Chinese Black teas made from the Assamica variety (as opposed to the more delicate Sinensis Black teas from Fujian).

We think that Yunnan Black is a great benchmark for judging a high quality but affordable Chinese Assamica for everyday drinking
