A totally wild fruit-candy brew made from medium leaves picked in the hallowed terroir of Wuyi mountain.
This tea was a real surprise. It stands out from all other Black teas sampled this year for its ‘pop’ character – bright and light with fruits, flowers and candy similar to a sweet iced tea. The necessary addition of wood lacquer just about brings us back to earth. Check out that flavour wheel to see the uniqueness of this tea’s profile. I cannot imagine tasting a more playful and candied tea!
Grown in the Wuyi mountains from a small leaf variety yet picked with more of a Yancha Oolong style (which is more famous from this region) – this tea is wonderfully confused and a bit of a wildcard for your collection. It will surprise even the most seasoned tea aficionado and at the same time is one of the sweetest and most accessible teas out there.
