The aroma of this Matcha is nothing short of decadent, exceptionally sweet to the point of seeming fruity, there are strong notes of yeasty honey bread, a touch of fresh hay, honeysuckle nectar, and the most delicate hint of bananas at the finish. There are no vegetal notes at all in the aroma of this Matcha. However once you whisk this Matcha into an emerald green foam, the aroma takes on notes of fresh vegetation, sesame seeds, and a touch of algae. It is no longer sweet, a very fascinating transition.
From the first sip you are greeted with a pleasantly thick mouthfeel, there is a hint of vegetal bitterness present in the foam. Once you get passed the foam the taste is rich and sweet, there are notes of raw honey and sesame seeds. The finish is reminiscent of freshly mown hay and a tiny touch of grass.
