I like this!! first time I made this, not so much. But today? it’s quite different.
If you let the RL teas sit for a few weeks, I think it really makes a difference.
The rooibos base is really smooth and comes through more than anything else. Chocolate is in here? Oh yes there it is, hiding in the back! Super mild, but it’s there. I ordered Robust flavouring, next time I think I would go with the higher level. The highest of them all… is there matcha in there?
Now this is a gift for my Aunt, so I only made a few cups. Otherwise, I’d experiment a bit more.
Either way… I will definitely order it again, despite my initial apprehension, now that I know what to expect

@Indigobloom, I’m learning that the wait time does make a difference with the flavored Matcha as well. I follow it as a rule with other teas (that is, wait at least 3 weeks for teas from 52Teas, for example), but I didn’t think with the Matcha it made as big a difference … but I’ve found that it does!

Sil

interesting..i’ve never noticed an issue with the matcha. I’ll have to give it a whirl next order and let them sit and see if the flavour changes. Or maybe try the pumpkin or the chai in my cupboard since i’m pretty sure i tried those right away.

LiberTEAS

I’ve noticed it mostly with the teas where I’ve noticed a sort of chemical-y taste with, if I wait a couple of weeks, that chemical-y taste sort of wanes, which is a really good thing!

Sil

ooh good to know :)

Indigobloom

It’s so true, LiberTeas is right on! the chemical tasting ones really air out and settle down with a few weeks. But… you need to tin them. Or atleast open them. 52Teas, you can leave it in the package if need be.

CHAroma

Rooibos matcha? Hmm, interesting.

Indigobloom

Yep, it was tasty!! can’t wait to order it again :D
