Geek Steep S2E6 – Critical Role: The Mighty Nein
I’ve been excited about this episode for a long time! Even though this was a fandom I first engaged with for the podcast, ever since watching that first episode back in February I’ve been pretty much obsessed with this series – I’m now about 200 hours deep into watching this campaign.
I chose this at my “tea” for the watch through because – as most D&D players will know – there’s a bit of a troupe regarding almost all D&D campaigns starting in bars/taverns. So something inspired by beer or (in this case) a tea infused beer just felt right. Plus, I love the idea of challenging the definition of tea and this was the first time we have ever done either a kombucha or a tea/alcohol combination.
It’s tasty too! A sour is definitely the right avenue for exploring a kombucha/beer hybrid because it leans perfectly into that vinegar like tang of kombucha and the raspberry was bright, crisp and delicious! Bonus points for us capturing the perfect ASMR moment when I cracked the can open.
