“Very mild in flavor, this would be a good oolong for someone who really enjoys green teas but isn’t sure about the complexities in oolong flavors. With that being said, someone who is really into...” Read full tasting note
History:
Lahaha also introduces our Compassionate Oolong Tea which stands between the rarely fermented green and the almost fully fermented black teas. Oolong Teas are usually half fermented. Our Compassionate Oolong Tea is also known as the Iron Bodhisattva(the goddess of mercy). It is said that there’s a place where the tea trees can live up to a thousand years old, filling this region with tea aroma. Bodhisattva is a holy figure of Buddhism. Around the 1720s, there was a tea farmer who was also a faithful follower of Buddha. He put one cup of tea in front of the Bodhisattva statue as a tribute every morning for ten years. Then one day, he found a tea sprout in between the rocks. He was so grateful that he named its breed “Iron Bodhisattva” under the division of Oolong to honor the heavenly figures. Years later, we can assure that our Lahaha “Bodhisattva” is so well processed that even after seven refills, its aroma still presents, and the taster’s satisfaction still remains.
Ingredients and Procedures:
