For some reason, I was really craving this. I just knew I had to have a cuppa. Oh man was I ever right, it was so good! The light flowery contrast against the malty assam goodness is great! Only I wish I’d made a whole pot! (which I didn’t do because I’m headed out shortly)

I was hoping for something wow-ing this morning in this assam and it failed to deliver. it’s not a bad cup of tea but it’s lacking the strength that i like in a good assam as well as that bold flavour that keeps on delivering. I’ll likely finish off the rest of this and possibly share it with a few others so they can cross it off their black tea list, but it’s not a GREAT! cup of assam…and i don’t need to keep less tan great assams around :)

Bold flavour but dilute-tasting; this may be because it was sitting around in a sample baggie for a while. I like the profile of this tea. I can taste faint notes of everything that I love in my favourite blacks; the leathery notes, hint of sweetness, straw-like notes, smooth mouth-feel.

Hahaha ;) If it makes you feel any better I had two teas (samples from Adagio Teas) tonight and didn’t like either… and now its late and I really can’t have more caffeine. That’s frustrating – lol. At least we can share in our misery :)
