Description

The teas in this sampler are all grown many thousands of feet above sea level. Our journey begins in Kenya, where at 6000ft, our Kenya TGFOP1 tea from the Milima estate is grown. With its slightly citrus taste and full bodied flavour it’s a welcome drink on our first stop. From there we journey to Nepal, where some 5000ft above sea level near the village of Maloom, our very special Golden TGFOP1 Maloom is harvested. Similar to a Darjeeling it is a light and aromatic tea with a very pleasing taste. Moving over the border into China, we travel to the southern district of Yunnan. Here we find tea has been produced for over 1700 years and with its characteristic thick black leaves and many golden buds we experience the exquisite taste and pronounced aroma our China Black Golden Yunnan brings. Our final stage of the journey leads us over water to Indonesia where golden tips are found in our Java OP Santosa Superior. This tea has a full bodied flavour, a hint of spice and a strong dark liquor that refreshes us whilst we rest and reflect on the journey!
