Grown in Sri Lanka (the new name for Ceylon) this blend of ‘Ceylon’ teas keeps its old name. The highlands of Sri Lanka are well known for harvesting exquisite quality tea. The highland teas have a fresh, crisp flavour with a pleasing aroma typical of those teas that are planted on a high plateau or escarpment between 4,000 – 6,000 feet. Decaffeinated using a special cyclical CO2 high pressure method, this tea is protected from unwanted oxidation and hence undesired odours and tastes. It is a particularly gentle process that leaves the tea with a wonderful aroma and a full colour.
