Alishan Oolong Tea (Alishan, Ali Shan, Mount Ah Li, Ali Mountain) is grown at approximately 1600 meters above sea level in the Alishan region along the Central Mountains of Taiwan. Alishan is one of Taiwan’s most famous high elevation tea growing regions. The climate there is cool, the day is short and the daily mist provides the needed moisture. These ideal conditions let the plants grow slower and produce more tender and flavorful tea leaves.
This hand-picked Formosa Alishan Oolong is richly green, has a smooth and sweet taste with a strong and pleasing aroma. It leaves a sweet and mellow aftertaste that is long lasting in the tongue and throat. This Oolong produces a green to light golden brew.
