“Well, that was freakin’ awesome. I’m a major fan of Jasmine Silver Needle tea since trying Adagio’s a while back and Imperial Tea Court’s version is an epic contender. It’s a really floral and...” Read full tasting note
Since we introduced this superior white jasmine tea several years ago, it has become one of our most popular teas. Silver Needles white tea is harvested in early spring with tips and a small amount of young, tender leaves.
Since white teas are mild in flavor, including a small amount of young leaves during harvesting ensures adequate tea flavor after scenting with jasmine flowers. White teas are excellent candidates for scenting, as their downy leaves attract and retain aromatics.
Preparation: To serve Silver Needle Jasmine we recommend traditional gaiwan preparation. In a pre-warmed cup place 3-5 grams of tea and add a few drops of hot water to release its intoxicating aroma. Cover with near boiling water and infuse for 2-3 minutes. Re-steep by gradually increasing infusion time and water temperature.
