We’re pleased to present this rare and exotic oolong from Guangdong Province’s renowned Feng Huang Shan (Phoenix Mountain), a region with nearly a 1,000-year history of tea connoisseurship. Feng Huang Shan oolongs are famed for their potent aromatics that mimic the scent of flowers and other plants. In the case of Jiang Mu Xiang (“mother of ginger scent”), the aroma is naturally gingery, leaving a peppery aftertaste in the back of the throat. The liquor is a rich golden amber. A unique and memorable tea-drinking experience for anyone who loves oolong and seeks a deeper knowledge of this complex and diverse category of tea. Our supply of this tea is extremely limited, so we’ve packaged it in affordable 8-gram packets that contain enough leaves to make 1-2 teapots or gaiwans, depending on size. The tea is full of flavor and stands up to multiple infusions.
