“I love this tisane for night time drinking. It’s just floral and just the right balance of sweet and bitter, and it’s amazing with a little honey.” Read full tasting note
A red variant of pure osmanthus blossoms, this was found in a local products store in Guilin, China. Guilin means “osmanthus forest” and every spring, they harvest osmanthus blossoms. Most of the blossoms are gold, yellow, rather than this orange-red. This brews stronger than the gold osmanthus blossom, taking the florals almost into the range of fruity. It’s a little richer, deeper, more toasty notes at the bottom, but the same yellow liquor as regular osmanthus.
