From Fortnum & Mason

Robust and malty, this is a blend of Assam tea of different leaf grades grown in the prized Brahmaputra Valley in Northeast India. The broken leaves make a strong brew with full-bodied flavour. It’s a great morning pick-me-up with a dash of milk.

Tasting Notes
Our historic and ever-popular Breakfast tea has been a fixture on breakfast tables since the mid-1800s. A full-flavoured Assam blend, it’s a strong and robust cup created for morning sipping. Perfect with breakfast, in all its forms.

Not as malty and bold as the Fortnum & Mason Irish Breakfast blend but still has that smooth aftertaste. This would be great with lighter tasting foods~

Tea of the morning here. I did a tasting note on this a while back. This morning it is making me happy with its malty and chewy goodness. This is a decent breakfast tea that is helping to perk me up. Definitely one you will want to drink with milk and sugar, imo…

Where did you find this brand? I have done a search before but couldn’t find reference to it being sold in the US.

TeaBrat

I found it at Williams Sonoma!

Dustin

Thanks, I’m going to have to check them out! God, those tins! * swoon *
Looks like WS has it’s own brand of tea too!

TeaBrat

yes I have never tried the WS blends myself. Agree the F&M tins are adorable!

Backlog from this morning. I’ve been a little extra clumsy today due to being sick, so I made this waay too strong. Even through my stuffy nose and dulled taste buds, I could taste the bitterness. However, upon resteeping, the boldness became manageable and actually enjoyable. My coffee-loving mother especially loved this one. I have a feeling she will be the one to finish off most of my 3+ oz of this tea.

I hope you’ll feel better soon!

Visited the store in Piccadilly on a recent trip to London. A comfy breakfast tea, which often has me going for a second cup.
