Long Live Détroit!
Home of the Ottawa Native Americans, a French trading post to the west, and car capital of the world, Detroit has had a long and rich cultural history but has found its self in hard times in recent years. However after these past turbulent years, Detroit is betting on its comeback through entrepreneurship, new industries, art, and urban agriculture.
Buying American and local is definitely a concept on the minds of many Detroiters today so I was excited to come in contact with local farmers to create a tea blend capturing the essence of the new Detroit. Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, this tea blend is composed of lemon grass from Oakland county, and ginger from Wayne and Saginaw county. When brewed this tea produces a zesty tea with a earthy lemon finish. The tea is naturally caffeine free and tastes great hot or cold.
