Our Assam tea’s yield a full-bodied brew with a rich malty flavour, strong and bright in colour which can be enjoyed with milk and sugar to taste. The East India Company thought tea plantations could be established in India to break the Chinese tea monopoly. Tea was introduced to Assam in 1834 and The East India Company shipped the first Assam teas to London in 1838. This superb tea recalls those efforts and is faithful to the signature tea that Assam produces today.
