“Shou Mei is an above average white tea with a bit of a nutty flavor. But, a pleasant afternoon tea. I may try a hotter, shorter steep next time.” Read full tasting note
Shou Mei, “Longevity Eyebrow”, is a white tea that is produced from naturally withered upper leaf and tips. It is mostly grown in the Fujian Province of China. Because it is plucked later than White Peony (Bai Mu Dan), the tea may be darker in color, but it should still have a proportionate green color. The liquor is yellowish green in color with nutty and floral taste.
