Description

Amoda Tea Monthly Box – March 2015_

Loved by anyone who tries it, this tea is a must-try. There is a perfect balance between the fresh, grassy taste of a Sencha (a Japanese green tea) and the sweet tropical pineapple. Very natural & authentic fruit flavour and a buttery creaminess make this tea an example of how flavoured tea should taste! Great as a cold-steeped tea.

Ingredients: Sencha green tea, dried pineapple, natural oil

Steep It
1.5 tsp per 8 oz cup
freshly boiled
1-3 minutes

From Den’s Tea:

The dried pineapple is mingled with quality Sencha in this taste of Hawaii. If you make iced tea, it makes a great addition to your summer tea time. One sip will transport you on a Hawaiian holiday, without the airfare.

Origin: Shizuoka
Harvest: A Blend of 2009 First & Second
Species: Yabukita

Tasting Profile:
The flavor of tropical pineapple and a hint of coconut force you to feel like you’re on vacation. Very sweet and creamy.

Den’s Preferred Brewing:
Water: 4oz boiled
Leaves: 2 grams or 1 heaping teaspoon
Steep: 30 sec
2nd Cup: Water boiled; Steep 15 sec

For 1 Iced Tea: Put 50% more amount of tea leaves into a teapot. Steep as directed for 1 hot tea. Once you brew it, put ices into the cup to lock the aroma.
