5 Tasting Notes View all

“Wasn’t sure if I would even like this one as I don’t tend to love a lot of coconut teas but I was pleasantly surprised. The coconut mixed with the green tea gives a light almost minty taste. Kinda...” Read full tasting note
“I brewed this one hot to start and it is SWEET, unfortunately too sweet for me. It smells delicious, like buttered popcorn, and it tastes like coconuty, creamy buttered popcorn (tastes better than...” Read full tasting note
“Last new one for today – almost caught up on the Summer teas now! This is probably the closest that DT has done yet to doing a twisted Genmaicha. Over the process of working on this tea we just...” Read full tasting note
“(DavidsTea 2022: 98) Third tea! And one I was most excited for, as it’s DT’s take on a flavoured genmaicha! However… I think the stevia killed it for me. I’m so used to 52teas’ glorious flavoured...” Read full tasting note

Description

What can we say, we’re whipped! This ultra-light coconut blend has us wrapped around its finger, and there’s nowhere we’d rather be. Sip fluffy coconut with a decadent touch of roasted marshmallow on a genmaicha base, loved for its cozy toasted rice.

What makes it great:

Genmaicha is one of the oldest Japanese teas. Its signature flavour is that of roasted rice, adding a comforting warmth to its blends.

This decadent tea is surprisingly light—perfect for a post-meal dessert.

Medium caffeine levels make this the perfect mid-afternoon pick me up. A coconut treat that keeps you awake? What more could you ask for!

Green tea, Apple, Roasted rice, Coconut chip (coconut, sugar), Coconut rasp, Lemongrass, Natural (coconut, cream) flavouring, White chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, sunflower lecithin), Popped rice, Stevia extract.
