Cold Brew!
My first day back at the office was yesterday, and I managed to remember to bring home a small bag of this to refresh my memory with among all the chaos of getting back into things after our holiday break.
I feel like my description last time, with what little memory of the blend I had, actually ended up being pretty accurate – it’s a sweet, juicy and fruity pomegranate forward blend for sure with more of a subtle herbaceous undertone and just a tinnyyyy hint of rose. There’s a little sharpness/pop of acidity at the top of the sip and the finish lingers sweet and more generically fruity well after finishing the sip. I like this more than I like Pomegrateful, and actually something about it is more reminding me of the long since retired blend Green Seduction. I think it’s the fact I can actually taste a bit of the more fibrous pomegranate seeds that are used in the blend – but I actually like that quality a lot because it makes the pomegranate seem so much more natural and realistic to me.
A super tasty “wellness blend” that works chilled with the right contrast of sweet and tart bright fruit notes and those more natural elements that balance them out.
Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
