Take this with a grain of salt… but this tea was revolting. Like, I made it two sips in and tossed it. Why? I believe the culprit is the hops – I think I got a bit of a hop pellet in my infuser, and the resulting brew tasted like a disgustingly hoppy beer. I hate beer, and my previous hop experiences have all been pretty negative. It’s just too bitter for me. And mixed with rose and rooibos? Yuck yuck yuck. On the other hand, if you like hops and/or extreme bitterness, maybe you’ll like this tea. Or maybe, getting a hop pellet in one’s cup is abnormal, and I got a particularly gross cup. Who knows.

Leafhopper

I like hoppy beers, but combining hops with roses sounds like a bad idea.

Hops and roses? If it is blended carefully it could work. Maybe different variety of hops too. Do not know.
But maybe it just don’t work together.

VariaTEA

I can’t believe you got 2 sips out of a tea you rated a 1.

This was the first time I tried a really floral rose tea. The smell was a little overwhelming and strong for me with all the rose. The first few sips I couldn’t really decide what I thought, I could taste the rose and some honey and some other floral taste that I wasn’t familiar with.
Overall, I think I came to the conclusion that I enjoyed my cup, I wouldn’t be heartbroken if I never had a cup, but… I will probably keep some in the house because it is nice for before bed and something rather different than most of the teas I drink.

Sleepytime tea from earlier in the week. I actually went from a sample bag of this to full tin because it does make me feel sleepy/drowsy and my insomnia has been flaring up again so I knew that I might be going through this a little more quickly than I was before…

Good rose flavour, too!

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
