From DAVIDsTEA

With a Moscow mule iced tea this good, why limit your happy to an hour? Based on the classic blend of vodka, ginger beer and lime, this gingery, citrusy blend has us totally obsessed. It’s sweet and tangy, with a cool minty finish we can’t get enough of. And since it’s caffeine-free, you can channel those happy hour vibes any time of day. The only thing missing is the copper mug.

What makes it great

This mocktail-inspired tea is based on the classic blend of vodka, ginger beer and lime.

This refreshing ginger-mint tea is caffeine-free so you can get that happy hour feeling any time of day.

Makes an amazing iced tea with a splash of club soda or spiked with vodka. Don’t forget the copper mug!

Ginger, candied ginger (cane sugar, ginger, sulfites), apple, sweet blackberry leaves, lemon balm, lemon peel, peppermint, cucumber, natural flavouring.

Sweet and tangy ginger with fresh citrus notes and a cool minty finish – just like a classic Moscow mule!

Made this as a tea lemonade and this is so much sweeter than I expected. A lot of ginger but just so. Much. Sweet.

At first I really didn’t like it but it did sort of grow on me. Then, as I kept drinking the sweet built and I disliked it again. So overall it’s alright. I have a small package of this left and I think I’ll try it hot and see how that is…

I don’t remember why I bought this tea, but here we are. It doesn’t need any sugar. The main flavor is a fresh ginger. It tastes nice both hot and cold. I probably wouldn’t buy this again since it’s no better than grocery store brands, but I was happy to enjoy it more than I expected. Though there are lots of completely invisible fun ingredients in there, which is too bad. Maybe I can taste hints of them occasionally, but they’re really overpowered by the ginger. I would definitely just purchase straight ginger in the future.

As I expected, there’s a bit too much mint in here for me (there’s not much, but I really don’t care for it), and it tastes too much like a good-for-you herbal tea. Ginger is in the forefront, with cooling mint poking up every now and then, and cucumber presents itself in the aftertaste, in my opinion. It’s also fairly sweet, and became a bit syrupy for me, which was odd.

I wasn’t too sure about this one but I love ginger and wanted to give it a show.

First of all, it rebrews well, I kept filling my cup up with cold water (5 times) and it still made a flavourful cup of coldbrew.

The ginger is great, and it is very refreshing with the mint (subtle, not menthol-ish like some mint teas) and cucumber. I was hesitant because of the cucumber and also because I don’t usually like mint mixed with anything fruity (not that ginger/cucumber are fruity). I think the cucumber was excellent, though. I might need to pick up some more of this. It is one of the best summer blends so far.

Sounds interesting! I picked up a small sample of this yesterday and will probably have it this weekend.

Happy to see this one getting some love; I wasn’t personally a fan but I really liked how outside of the box this blend is from DT’s usual summer collections.

Cold Brew Sipdown (1601)!

I’ve had this last cold brew worth of this tea kicking around for a while and I sort of always put off making it because it’s not a tea I necessarily enjoy a whole lot. However, I was on an unexpected ginger kick this weekend so I decided to finally give it a go.

It’s definitely not for me. The ginger is so strong and earthy but it’s also immediately followed up be a very sweet and coating finish of cucumber and, like, licorice? I like cucumber but not when it’s this sweet and this intense. It just feels out of place for me. Plus, while strong, the ginger doesn’t really have the actual heat/“tickly spice” element that I feel like a Moscow Mule should. However, maybe that’s age…

Friendly reminder that I do not numerically rate DAVIDsTEA blends as I’m currently employed there and it would be an obvious conflict of interest. Any blends you see with numerical ratings were rated prior to my employment there. These reviews are a reflection of my personal thoughts and feelings regarding the teas, and not the company’s.
