From DAVIDsTEA

When juicy strawberries met silky cream, it was love at first sight. And this swoon-worthy tea is our way of celebrating that perfect marriage of flavours. With oolong, luscious strawberries, delicate rose petals and crisp apple, it’s enough to make anyone sweet on you. Especially since we sprinkled in some beautiful gomphrena petals – a Hawaiian flower symbolizing love and friendship. The best part? It tastes just like a fluffy slice of shortcake. Talk about romance.Apple, oolong tea, cane sugar, blackberry leaf, gomphrena petals, jasmine buds, strawberries, rose buds, natural strawberry flavouring and artificial cream flavouring.

2021 Sipdown 3/365!
(DavidsTea 18)

Well, there was one cup of this left, and I’m not certain there was much, or any, oolong left in the bag. I assume I didn’t love this when I had my first cup or two, otherwise I would have bought more than the 10g I had. Unfortunately, I do not think this last cup was an accurate representation of this tea. It smelled and tasted very herbal, with a touch of floral/fruity/creamy. Not unpleasant, but also not the advertised strawberries and cream. Second infusion yielded some nice oolong undertones, and some more fruitiness and creaminess, but I think this tea just faded past its prime. Too bad, I’d like to give it another shot fresh.

First time trying this tea. I bought it online and while it has all the notes that sound like they would go well together, it was kind of disappointing. I used 1ps in 12oz water at 195 and it was like a very weak and bland oolong with a tart muddled strawberry overlay. I’ll try it again with more leaf, and hopefully it comes out better?

A very light oolong tea with hints of strawberry and a slight creaminess. Quite sweet due to the cane sugar being the third ingredient, but not achingly so. Very easy to drink and only slightly perfume-y.

Thanks NayLynn for a sample of this one! The sample looked more like goodies instead of oolong, so I went with two teaspoons. There is actual sugar sprinkled all through this blend, so that is a bit odd but a lot better than artificial sugar. I really love the ingredients in this blend… lovely roses, strawberry, apple, jasmine! All on an oolong base. The description says it should taste like strawberry shortcake with whip cream but it doesn’t really. Berries, sure, but not so much whip cream. Sadly, the floral bits didn’t result in more floral of a flavor. Luckily the blackberry leaves don’t make it into the flavor either, otherwise it might be a bit bitter. This is mostly sweet strawberry on an oolong base. I like it but I think it needs to be more than it is.

I picked up a small heart tin of this tea when it came out around Valentine’s Day. Out of the three, I was most excited to try this one and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The strawberry flavour really comes out but isn’t overwhelming. I tried this tea hot and iced and although I prefer it hot, it was still quite a good iced tea. Since then, I have redeemed one of my frequent steeper rewards for a 50 g bag of this tea and have used it all up. I hope this one comes back because when it does, I am going to have to grab some more.

I found this berry ok.
Rather sweet and very berry like. Couldn’t taste the tea much. Nothing memorable, but pleasant enough. I’d take this over a can of coke any day… and with a bit of fizz I could see it being a lot better than ok!

A very complex taste, but I think it can best be summed up as berries and cream. Quite enjoyable.

I was so curious after reading the description of this tea, its different from anything I’ve had from Davids Tea before (at least in the few years I’ve been buying from them). I got a small amount of it to try and it is really lovely, I could tell just from the beautiful sweet strawberry scent of it that I was going to like it. And I did – I ended up going back to buy more the next day! I think it lives up to the description really well, I taste a good amount of strawberry, a good bit of cream and a hint of floral freshness. If anyone has tried strawberry and cream flavored oatmeal packets, that is the flavor that this tea really reminded me of (minus the oats of course). I’ve waited a long time for a decent strawberry flavored tea that isn’t tart/sour or overpowered by hibiscus or other floral elements. And this one is a sure hit in my books, one of the standout introductions David’s has had in awhile. I think I might end up buying a backup pouch because I know a lot of these seasonal teas usually disappear quickly!

This is a very different blend for an oolong, but I have been so excited to try it, and I’ve had to have a couple cups before reviewing it. The dry leaf itself is just gorgeous! I think it’s safe to say I really do like this tea. It tastes floral, but it has a nice fruity flavour to it as well. I can taste the berry but can’t really identify it as strawberry in particular. Adding sugar really brought out the flavour. There’s also a nice oolong base that blends together with the floral taste. Overall I am really loving this tea! I will have to stock up.
