Juicy Orange

Loved this as iced tea. Will buy again -don’t know why SteepSter says ‘unavailable’ because it’s on the DT website.

I love this tea, but it’s pretty tricky to make it just right. Tried to make an iced tea with it today, not thinking that it’s a black/pu’erh and that I won’t need to make it extra strong, sooo I put 4 Perfect Spoons in my steeper, boiled my water, steeped for 5 minutes aaaaand YUCK! No amount of agave would save this – sadly it went down the sink.

Second steep, same leaves – water had cooled off a bit, and I only steeped for 3 minutes instead of 5. Still added at least 2 “shots” of agave (about half my bottle is gone now, due to the first steep). Drinkable, but still not as good as when the Tea Guides make it.

Sufficed to say, if I buy this loose leaf again it’ll be for hot tea only. If I want it iced, I’ll go get it from a DT location.

I tried this for the first time today. I’ve had 4 cups of it at work this morning. So far I’m liking it very much, which is a good thing because I bought 300g of it before I even tried it!

Yuck. Such a strong artificial flavor that’s impossible to get past.

I’ve never tried this type of tea before… it was definitely different. I may need to try another brew to be sure…

Sorry for spamming with so many reviews tonight. Just playing catch up.
Either way, my husband got this one iced with agave and I really didn’t think it would be good. I don’t like pu’erhs that much so when he got it, i thought… no.
Anyways, it was actually pretty good. He like it a bit more than I did, but it wasn’t too bad. It was definitely a juicy orange but it did have the slight earthiness to it because of the pu’erh.
I got my husband a tin of it and hopefully he’ll enjoy it.

Hum. Nope. Way too artificial for my taste. I made me think I was drinking orange flavoured water with artificial sweetener (such as spenda) . Maybe I oversteeped it, but all the same, I don’t think I would like it better weaker. This is really disappointing because the dry leaves smelled soooooo good!

It tastes like diet watered down orange soda or gatorade. and I dont like it. Even adding agave didn’t help. It smelled wonderful unsteeped though! I had it iced, and I dont think hot would be any better.

Post-exam pick me up! Stopped into DAVID’s to pick up some tea and had to get an ice tea to celebrate the beautiful weather.

So glad I didn’t add any sugar to this—it was WAY sweeter than I expected. Candied orange seems to dominate, but it’s also quite earthy. Definitely experienced a complete caffeine crash (or maybe it was staying up all night studying), starting to feel it kick in though.
