Fantasy Island

Raspberry and coconut make a surprisingly good mix.

I very much enjoy this tea! I generally go for black tea over others (but my cupboard is bursting forth with all kinds) but if I have a choice, I generally grab my can of cream of earl grey over my many green teas. I bought this tea because the smell instantly won me over – and when I steeped it, I couldn’t believe how delicious it was. It had no significant aftertaste, though I fel that my breath was freshened, and it was sweet without being bitter. Very delicious with milk and sugar, or sugar alone. I will be re-buying this one, thats for sure!

not my favourite from davids but still good :) this one has hints of both raspberry and coconut. a good combo in my opinion. does resteep quite nicely too :)

When I read the descriptions online for the new collection of spring teas for Davidstea, I have to admit that this sounded like the least interesting of all the teas, mostly because of my aversion to black teas. Honestly, Dreamsicle seemed like the most delicious on the outset. However, imagine my surprise when I came into the store and found that Dreamsicle didn’t smell as nice as I thought it would, and that I was instead seduced by the strange and mysterious Fantasy Island. The heady scent of coconut must be what drew me in. I bought a latte made with this tea in the store…. and it was heaven in a cup! I always drink it with some milk poured in now.

It’s not an every day type of tea, you have to be in the specific mood for something a bit more heavy and sensual, but when the time is right, nothing can compare. I will be very sad when they discontinue this tea, and will definitely have to stock up.

Another tea from the Spring Collection I picked up a few weeks ago. I was really wary of it because I wasn’t sure how the coconut was going to pan out. I wasn’t really drawn to the smell of it in the package, which is probably why I’ve waited this long to try it. But, after brewing it was pleasantly surprised. I wish I could give a detailed reveiw about flavors and what not but I drank it last night and didn’t think to do a write up then. I was worried about a similar sitation to the Dreamsicle where it might be sickeningly sweet, but not the case at all, this tea was very pleasant and a nice relaxing treat.

Writing on behalf of my tween DD who said, and I quote " It was very coconutty and I loved it!" I too took a sip and it was delish even more so cold for the summer :) TY David for all you deliciousness!

As usual, this is a popular tea with generally positive reviews, so of course I have to be the damper!

I liked it on first sip. Didn’t like it afterwards. It tastes a lot like drinking coconut oil. Or rather, it tastes like how my lip balm smells. I don’t know how I feel about it. I definitely don’t hate it, and I can see that making a latte out of it could definitely create something magical, but it’s not a re-buy for me, for sure.

I’ve had better tasting coconut teas.
