This fine Goomtee first flush, technically classified by the garden as an oolong (due to light oxidation), displays the wonderful characteristics of the season! Cupping starts off with a very attractive infusion of small leaf-bud sets of greenish brown with copper highlights. The aroma hints of character. The cup has a clean green, fresh taste, nice mouth feel, then rolls over for a complex flowery finish. Even as it cools, the cup gives off an attractive lilac essence.
