Dry Leaves
Aspect: Rolled twisted leaves with small buds
Colours: A mixture of black and dark green leaves with few that are more loosely rolled
Scents: An unusual attack of cooked fruit (rhubarb, jam), cooked vegetables. A few woody notes

Colours: Mainly green with touches of brown
Scent: Plant, herb and floral (orange blossom) notes to start, combined with sweet fruit notes (yellow fruit)

Texture: A delicate astringency that fills the mouth and sustains the aromas
Flavour: A delicate bitterness that complements the lingering effect of the astringency

Our Verdict: This 9th lot from Giddapahar has a delicate astringency with sweet fruit notes. Giddapahar is a very well known family owned garden in Darjeeling and have been increasing its quality of teas yield every year. With careful obeservation and a strict adherence to quality, their first flush Darjeeling teas are consistently garnering rave reviews. We have almost never been dissapointed in their teas and have always enjoyed conversations with them. This 9th lot of their first flush is highly recommended for Darjeeling lovers
