“This is a fabulous white tea from the Darjeeling estate of Margarets Hope. It has notes that are very Darjeeling-esque: I can taste the sweet, crisp, clean fruit notes of a Darjeeling, but this...” Read full tasting note
MARGARETS HOPE BI – MUDAN (2ND FLUSH; WHITE.)
MARGARETS HOPE BI – MUDAN has been made from PURE AV2 clonal plants at an elevation of 6000 ft. A specialised team of tea pluckers pluck the finest 2 leaf and a bud under the full moon beam which enhances the flavour of th tea. This tea is very high in antioxidants due to the process by which it is manufactured. A must try for the tea lovers.
When steeped for full 5 mins, it gives a very soft cup which comes with a very fruity note. The tea leaves a ‘twang’ of mint on your pallets which keeps you wanting more. It is an ideal tea to be sipped at bed time to cull one to celestial slumber.
• DRY LEAVES: Whole leaves with prominent silver tips.
• LIQUOR: A very soft amber with fruity aroma.
• INFUSION: Pleasant coppery with a ‘twang’ of mint on the nose.
STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS:
Fresh water brought to 1st Boil. Cool boiled water for 2 mins in tea pot. Add 1 tea spoonful per cup to the pot. Strain to cup and sip as it cools.
PLEASE NOTE THIS TEA CAN BE STEEPED SEVERAL TIMES FROM THE SAME LEAVES UNLIKE OHER TEAS, IT IMPROVES WITH RE-BREWING. IT IS COMMON TO STEEP THE SAME LEAVES 3 TIMES.
P.s. I personally enjoyed the third brewing chilled (well refrigerated) with a few lemon drops.
