This tea has been made from PURE AV2 plants at an elevation of 6500 ft. A specialised team of tea pluckers pluck the finest 2 leaf and a bud under the full moon beam. No wonder this tea is distinctive from the others.
It gets its name ‘WHITE ORCHID’ as Giddapahar T. E. Is situated in the town of Kurseong which is also known as ‘The Land of White Orchids’ as this valley produces some high quality WHITE ORCHIDS.
This is a very rare find of DARJEELING TEA LOVERS because this tea comes with taste notes of WHITE TEA and texture / process of 2ND FLUSH TIPPY CLONAL and hence we have classified this tea as ‘EXOTIC TEA.’
When steeped for full 5 mins, it gives a sweet AMBER colour liquor and has a very balanced floral aroma. The liquor tastes best gradually as it cools down. It is an ideal tea to be sipped at bed time to cull one to celestial slumber.
• DRY LEAVES: Whole leaves that have been lighty rolled with prominent SILVER NEEDLES.
• LIQUOR: A very sweet AMBER colour.
• INFUSION: Pleasant coppery with green in between.
STEEPING INSTRUCTIONS:
Fresh water brought to 1st Boil. Cool boiled water for 2 mins in tea pot. Add 1 tea spoonful per cup to the pot. Strain to cup and sip as it cools.
PLEASE NOTE THIS TEA CAN BE STEEPED SEVERAL TIMES FROM THE SAME LEAVES UNLIKE OHER TEAS, IT IMPROVES WITH RE-BREWING. IT IS COMMON TO STEEP THE SAME LEAVES 3 TIMES.
P.s. I personally enjoyed the third brewing chilled (well refrigerated) with a few lemon drops.
