The emerald strip-rolled leaves, the ‘wrapped kind’ as the translation goes, are still young and vibrant at the time of picking. As a general rule of thumb, the more floral the baozhong the better, and this baozhong releases a flood of wonderful verdant notes of fresh-cut grass and sweet lilac to compliment notes of ripe cantaloupe and a creamy, silky finish. Renowned for it purity, this tea makes for a wonderful palate cleanser, be it mid meal or to finish.
