Before I head back out I needed something to “pick-me-up.” This blend had black in it, so I picked this one, hahah. While brewing, it reminded me of this soap bar my Grandmother sent me from London. I know that sounds bad but its not. This soap smelled amazing!! I brewed this “soapy” tea western and with small amounts. The initial flavor was very strong. I can taste orange peel, white grape and rose. This is a very flavorful tea but for me the orange peel is little overwhelming. If you enjoy flavored and sharp black tea then this is for you :)

Another sample from Anlina. :) It’s interesting to experience a tea without knowing what’s in it. I smelled this one and thought, “oooh, lemon!”. And then after it steeped, I smelled it again and thought “no… mixed citrus maybe? bergamot? lemon danish?”. Then my curiosity overcame me and I looked it up on steepster. Mango and bergamot, huh? Well, now that you mention it, I can definitely smell the mango. And interestingly, I don’t really smell the flowers, but I can taste them. This is a neat blend, lots of different flavours somehow coming together and making something yummy.

Another 5 am conference call means another tasty tea picked from the tea box to help keep my eyelids open and my brain functioning – darn international time zones!!

This is another tasty non overpowering rose tea selection from the TTB only this time there is a pop of peachiness which is a really nice touch to help make this tea stand out from the many rose teas I seem to have inadvertently sampled recently. Another winner for my taste buds!

Sometimes I try a tea that just makes me think I’m broken. I thought I was tasting something mango-like and didn’t at all associate it with rose until I read the description….what the heck? Those two things are soooo not the same. I don’t know what’s wrong with me sometimes. This was good, but not my favorite (of either mango or rose flavored blacks).

Not quite sure what the flavoring is supposed to be on this one, but I got a strong rose scent and a flavor that was floral but also slightly fruity…it reminded me of peaches. This was a delicious start to my day!

For some reason this extremely flowery, dry tea reminds me of Earl Grey, even though there’s none of the signature bergamot notes of Earl Grey. But the flavour has a similarly elegant and sophisticated feel to it.

I like a cup of this to start my day. It’s a pleasant bouquet of flowers on the nose and a delicate but full mouth taste.
