“Green March! Since this mate isn’t roasted… eh, I say it counts! (May not be green tea, but it is most certainly a very green leaf!) Honestly I’ve always been too sissy to try plain yerba mate,...” Read full tasting note

Description

Gaining rapid popularity as the healthier alternative to coffee, yerba mate, or perhaps more widely known simply as mate (pronounced “mah-tay”), originated in South America. Mate is often used to boost your physical energy, increase mental energy and focus, and as an appetite suppressant. Unflavoured, mate has a vegetal, herbaceous, grassy taste with a slightly bitter finish. It’s arguably the best natural pre-gym or study time fuel, and that’s enough for us.

Ingredients: Yerba mate

Brewing Instructions: 2 tsp/cup, 90C/194F, 6-8 min.
