Luo Shui Dong, which translates to “Falling Water Sinkhole,” is one of the most renowned tea-producing areas near Yi Wu, known for its high-quality mao cha from old tea trees. This specific tea cake was a vintage 2001 offering from Chen Guan He Tang (CGHT). I believe the tea was initially without its wrapper.
A superbly aged tea that follows the traits of those 99 celebrity cakes – deep, round, complex, and mellow. It has an unmistakenly Yi Wu honey-like aroma with organic herbal, dried fruit zest and a subtle tang. Very long-lasting.
