“I’m way too chintzy with my leaves and never willingly put enough in the cup when I’m steeping a white tea. (Then pule and whinge about how weak it tastes.) Full moon? Christmas liberality?...” Read full tasting note
“This was a complete surprise. I received this one-off sample in a delivery of white tea from Canton Tea Co. and shrieked in delight upon receiving it. It lasted five steeps and took hotter...” Read full tasting note
“Extraordinary, unlike any other white tea I’ve ever tasted – it’s full flavored like a standard black Assam, but without the harsher edge/incredibly strong maltiness that many of them have. Fruity...” Read full tasting note

Description

A rare and exquisite Indian White Assam from the Mothola Estate, one of the only White Assam producing estates in India. The young buds are handpicked in early spring and then air dried. These handpicked buds are long and velvety smooth, a mixture of silver and green colours, with a rich floral aroma.

The liquor is bright and beautifully smooth, with no astringency even after several infusions. The rich malty flavour associated with Assam is present here, along with fruity mango flavours and smooth floral notes.

Differing in taste from Chinese white teas, this white Assam is a unique and beautiful tea.
