The Pussimbing tea garden is located in the Darjeeling East valley, just below Tiger Hill, and encompasses about 500 acres of land. It produces only 100% certified organic tea. The area’s misty climatic conditions bring about a unique tea with a distinctive fruity flavor.
The word “Pussimbing” is a collocation of “Pasang” and “Ung”, meaning “water source”. A monk by the name of Pasang is said to have discovered abundant water resources in the area. Hence the name “Pussimbing”. British planters expanded Pussimbing into a commercial plantation around 1911. Today, it is the source of one of the finest bio-dynamically grown organic teas produced in Darjeeling. * First Flush is the first tea harvested after winter, from the end of February until the end of April. It is bright in color and has a light, flowery flavor.Company description not available.
