“Tastes like a biscuit with a slight sweet taste of honey…this is a nice tea.” Read full tasting note
Exceptionally beautiful in appearance with its clean small leaves flushed with golden tips, this tea has everything that you would wish from a superb Assam; malty thick liquor, and a biscuity honeyish flavor profile. However, the brew is soft and rounded, with very minimal briskness. So if you are interested in a superb Assam with very little briskness – this is your cup!
Singlijan Tea Estate is in Upper Assam, at the eastern-most part of the Assam region. This area has rich red loom soil, year-round tropical wet climate, and old-growth forest all around. The teas from Upper Assam plantations are usually high in tannins, with rich, bold, malty liquor.
