“(Backlogging) Fifth and final tea served at the Murder Mystery Tea Party. I wanted to finish off with something “lighter” so I went with this blended tea since it was a mix of white and green teas....” Read full tasting note
I wanted to make a concoction that would be good for the health as well as for the soul. Green and white teas have the lowest caffeine contents of all the teas that come from the Camellia shrub, so drinking it will increase alertness, but not too much. White Monkey green tea is one of the lightest of the green teas, sharing processing and flavor qualities with the fresh young white teas. I also added Kukicha, a nutty, flavorful green tea made from the shoots and stems of the tea plant rather than the buds. In addition to their low caffeine contents, green teas contain antioxidants that stimulate the immune system, specifically a compound called ECGC. Snowbud, a white tea, is also high in protective antioxidants. White teas have also been shown to have anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Drink to your health!
