Wow, this is BLUE. I oversteeped and it was a bit too strong for me; also not huge on the flavour combo and would prefer some real tea instead of just a herbal, but definitely interesting. Looking forward to better evaluating a second cup.
Sipdown (1454)!
Honestly this mug could have probably been two mugs with how much leaf I had left but I underestimated it when I poured it into the strainer – and it was a newly washed strainer so the leaf definitely got water contact meaning there was no going back.
Even with as heavily leafed as this cup was, the flavours weren’t heavy and unpleasant. I feel like the lime came through the strongest and most clearly, but it was crisp and clean finishing – boosted by soft notes of ginger and a bit of a floral undertone. Honestly pretty simple in flavour but with great flavour clarity.
It’s not a sipdown I feel bad about, but for Anne’s first foray into blending with Butterfly Pea Flower I think it was really fun!
