Tea of the Week for April 29, 2019!
Featured Reblend/Retro Monday Tea!
For those of you who have been with me since my LiberTEAS days, you may recall the green tea and herbal blend that I had called Potpourri. It was a blend of gunpowder green tea, lemon myrtle, laurel, rose buds and petals and jasmine. It smelled amazing and tasted as good as it smelled – which is why I called it Potpourri.
When I was considering the five teas that I’d create for the Game of Thrones themed box, my original plan was to craft five new and unique flavors, but one night, I was thinking back to my LiberTEAS days and I recalled my Potpourri tea and thought – “HEY! Potpourri would make a fantastic tribute to Highgarden, home of a couple of my favorite characters!” (Yes, I have quite a few favorite characters!)
So I decided to reblend Potpourri and rename it Highgarden. And I tweaked it ever so slightly by adding dried lemon wedges to the other ingredients. In addition to tasting and smelling amazing, this blend is one of the most visually stunning teas I’ve ever crafted. It is a sensory delight – and one that is perfect for late spring and early summer (now) – because it tastes so beautifully fresh.
And yes! It’s all organic – as well as gluten-free, allergen-free and VEGAN!
organic ingredients: green tea, lemon myrtle, laurel, jasmine, rose buds/petals, dried lemons & natural flavors
