Tea of the Week for December 12, 2016!
Yes, indeed-y, I did another blend combining honeybush and rooibos. I like the way the two together taste: it is nutty and honey-sweet. And I felt like that flavor profile would definitely work to the recipe for this week’s tea: Amaretto Glazed Chestnut! (Don’t worry, you tea-totalers out there, it’s non-alcoholic … and for those of you who have tree-nut allergies, this one’s allergen-free too!)
I flavored my honeybush-rooibos base with essence of amaretto and chestnut and then I added roasted and salted sunflower seeds, freshly shaved nutmeg, dried orange sections and calendula petals for some visual interest.
The result is a warm and pleasant seasonal treat!
Shake pouch to redistribute ingredients. Use 1 tsp to 12 oz. hot water (195°F). Steep 6-10 minutes. Allow tea to cool 10 minutes for best flavor.
organic ingredients: honeybush, rooibos, roasted & salted sunflower seeds, oranges, nutmeg, calendula petals and natural flavors.
