Description

With autumn just around the corner (OK, so it’s a month off – but it’s gonna be here and I’m eagerly awaiting it!), I wanted to create an apple tea to celebrate my favorite season because no fruit says AUTUMN to me like APPLE! And no flavor says AUTUMN to me like MAPLE! So why not combine the two and create a Maple Almond Tea Cake tea? Sounds good to me!

I started with a base of organic black teas from China and India. To that I added freeze-dried apples (both Fuji and Granny Smith), freshly shaved nutmeg, allspice and a sprinkling of calendula petals for a little extra pretty. Organic, all-natural flavors brought this tea to life!

The aroma that greeted me when I opened the blending pan was that of delicious maple. Mmm! After steeping the tea, the aroma is significantly more subdued but it allows for some of those yummy apple notes to emerge. Apple and maple – is your mouth watering yet?

This tea is really delicious – apple and maple meet your taste buds right up front and about mid-sip, I start to pick up on sweet, baked cake flavors: hints of butter. Brown sugar. A touch of allspice and nutmeg. This is like autumn in a teacup and it’s sure to make you wish that autumn would hurry up and get here already!

organic ingredients: black teas, fuji apples, granny smith apples, allspice, nutmeg, calendula petals and natural flavors.
