“I can see how this one would make for a really great iced tea. Light on the lemon with just enough mint flavor to accent the tea and not overpower it. It reminds me a lot of Front Porch Special...” Read full tasting note

Tea of the Week for July 25, 2016!
Confession Time: I came up with this tea on kind of the “spur of the moment” because one of my planned flavors didn’t turn out as planned so I needed something that would be fairly straightforward – something that wouldn’t require a lot of tweaking because time was of the essence. I wanted something that I was certain would taste really good because time wasn’t on my side at that point. And since it’s summertime, I also wanted something that would taste great hot or iced.
So this is what I came up with. Perhaps not as crazy as Coconut French Toast with Cardamom Maple Syrup but it’s still really tasty and very refreshing. The black tea is nicely round – not an overly aggressive black tea base – but I think it definitely holds its own. The lemon is bright and tangy. The peppermint is cool and zesty. The flavors don’t compete with each other – there’s a nice balance between citrus, mint and black tea.
organic ingredients: black teas, dried lemon segments, lemon verbena, lemon balm, peppermint leaves and natural flavors.
