From 52teas

I created this tea as part of one of the Add-On packages for the Kickstarter campaign that started this whole thing for us! This was created to be part of the Fruity Sampler Add-On, so there are very limited quantities of this tea remaining!

I’ve used my organic White Peony and blended it with pineapple and watermelon flavors and added just a hint of creamy vanilla to offer a luscious frozen dessert kind of experience.

This is sweet and fruity and delicious – so even though the weather is turning cooler, this will bring your taste buds right back to those warm, beautiful days of summer! Sweet, lucious watermelon notes dancing with bright, invigorating pineapple flavors with just a hint of creaminess to create a sorbet kind of taste. Delicious!

Organic Ingredients: White Peony, Freeze-Dried Pineapple Bits, Vanilla Bean & All-Natural Flavors.

(52teas (Anne) 2022: 110)

A very watermelon-heavy cup the other day, though still light on flavour. However, the base again appears to have aged well with this tea, which is nice – so whether or not I can taste much flavouring, the tea is still enjoyable to drink! I don’t know that I’ve ever really tasted pineapple in this tea.

Often when two drastically different fruit flavours are blended in a tea one tends to overshadow the other. In this case I can taste both the watermelon and the pineapple in equal amounts. They’re on the milder side but I find the flavours be a lot more natural tasting and they mix well with the bai mu dan base. This would be a great tea to try iced, I think.

A while back I decided to both go on a sipdown schedule and a tea buying hiatus. The 1st one I’ve quit, because tea has always been from the beginning more of a treat…like at the end of a long day and a present to myself for not strangling anybody. So, with exception of the occasional iced tea jug where I can use up alot more tea at once…not going to bother with any sipdowns. The Tea Buying Hiatus however, I have no choice but to go thru with that.

This tea: It’s ok. Tastes nice…but not terribly inspiring.

I cold-steeped the remainder of my taster bag yesterday. While the tea is very refreshing and has very subtle fruit flavor, it’s not a tea I’ll miss. Pineapple and watermelon are notes that generally don’t jive with my palate, but I don’t mind them in this blend. It’s light but pleasant. It sounded too good to pass up, so I’m happy I gave it a go. I think I’m happier that I don’t love it because I don’t think it’s available anymore.

Cold Brew Sipdown (124)!

Thanks Kittenna!

- Refreshing with subtle flavours
- I definitely get more pineapple than watermelon
- But both ARE present
- It’s also a little floral, with a very natural sweetness
