When I opened the bag of Kickstarter teas this morning, this was the first I HAD to make. Yes, I special ordered this as a “Create Your Own Flavor” reward level. Why? Because I love tea, and I love Haagen Daaz Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream — a little too much. I was hoping this could replace that fix in a much healthier way.
Well folks, I must admit, it smells like my favorite ice cream. And while I wish the flavors were a bit stronger, it really IS chocolate peanut butter ice cream. I get the chocolate (albeit a bit faint), I get the creaminess from the ice cream, and I definitely get peanut butter along with a drying flavor (not feel) that I associate with eating too many nuts.
I kinda sorta wish I’d grabbed more of these now. :$
Brewed hot 200F for 2 minutes, then poured cold water over it to make just under 2L.
